My new CD Organization system

As promised, I’ve documented & posted about my new CD organization system. It’s nothing monumental or anything, but for me it’s very exciting and has created an extremely efficient and easy way to store and access my CDs.

hahaa – I knew if any one person out there would recognize the Neko Case CD it’d be you! Those who don’t know are probably just snickering :p haha

I would have to say that your documentation film is THE feel good hit of the year! I was up, I was down, I really felt like I was organizing the cd’s myself, and the cat – it looked so real!

As a recent converter to the Willo CD System, I must say it has changed my life. I’m glad to see cd binders gone. It is amazing to see how compact a 500 cd collection is, once you get rid of the cases and books and all that stuff!

well, speaking for myself, i have to have the cases. but if you’rre not hung up like me it seems like a grand scheme you have yourself there. my only concern would be the open tops on your storage boxes, and all of the dust that will settle in it.
    bags unlimited
has a lot of great options as well, i like these folk a lot.

  4. willo says:

yes, I agree on the dust thing. Rick mentioned that too – and you don’t realize it – but certainly EVERYTHING collects dust over time, so I need to get something to cover them with.

These storage boxes aren’t ideal at all. They are sorta my first incarnation of storage. I’m hoping to find a more ideal solution soon. Everything I think of I sorta invent just in my head and then have no idea where the heck I’d buy it. :) So I’m DIY for now.

Woo Hoo! You’re awesome for doing all this research. I’ve been dying for something like this. I’m converting to the Willo sytem!!!

Once I’m hitting the 500 mark, I will convert for sure :) For now, I stick with my father-in-law’s invention. Take those old 5 1/4″ disk boxes and store cds in. Label from outside [plotter, sticker...] and store up on the shelf.

    Yay! Thanks Willo…
I was doing a Google search for cd organizing systems this morning and your site came up. Thanks for doing the research for me. Phew! Saved me alot of surfing.

By the way, if you’re worried about dust you can always store them an a large plastic type container w/ lid. I plan on putting mine in a tupperware-under-the-bed-roller type thingy.

My friend Jake is on the system too!

FYI to anyone who’s interested, I’m emailing the new EnPack people (SecureDisc) and asking them where the heck those vinyl sleeves are!!!
