This is a real kitty in a bookstore window here in SF. I’d heard of these hairless cats, but had never seen one in person. Honestly, as much as I’m such a cat lover, they look pretty freaky to me.

heh! my opinion of these kinds o’ cats was formed by that f.r.i.e.n.d.s. episode (“The one with the ball”)where rachel buys a hairless Sphynx cat but quickly regrets it because it’s mean and scratches her at every opportunity. I suppose I’ll have to visit SF to see if this one’s actually really cuddly and sweet? :-)
