not so hot
crap, i really hoped that after taking SUCH good care of myself all weekend I’d be feeling better today, but instead I feel worse! blah! around noon i was trying to do some work and just felt horrible, so went back to my station on the couch and ended up crashing out for another 3 hours.
super sad and scary news is my kitty seems to be having trouble swallowing. every time he does, it’s an exaggerated swallow, like it hurts him. :( poor baby!!! he’s still eating and drinking which is good, and seems fine energy & personality wise, but i will be calling the vet first thing tomorrow morning. unfortunately i know that this means i’ll probably have to take him in, which he hates! i’m dreading that already, but i’m worried about him, so i sure hope he’s ok.

The same thing happened to our Maine Coon a few months back. It turned out to be a hairball. We had to give him this molasses-like stuff the vet gave us for a while until he got it out.
ya, that’s what my friend recommended, too! she said it could also be a foxtail or something from in the yard prickly, which is so possible. anyway, I’m going to buy some right now! i can’t wait for him to pass it, the poor baby. he slept really close to me lastnight, i can tell he’s needin some extra TLC.
You are sick too huh? did it start thursday? i distinctly remember taking a breath at Fort Oregon and knowing at that moment that i had just consumed someones germs. i slept 12-16 hours per day all weekend…
Geoffry loves hairball goo. He eats it as a treat. Maybe the big K will be a fan too.
ya, i was feeling run down thursday night, and friday I was hit hard… but I feel like it takes our bodies about 4 days to start, so I’m thinking I got it the Friday before when I was with my friends & their kiddos. kids=germs.
Kazoo didn’t lick the molasses stuff right away, but seemed to think it was “interesting” once I smeared it on his tongue. :) I think it’s working… but this makes it official: I need to start brushing him more.
