glen park canyon revisited

Looking down over the canyon. Under all those trees is the path!
Yesterday Holly & I went for a hike through Glen Park Canyon. It was my 2nd time and it was fun to have Holly along to explore more of the trails. We got a pretty good workout and she too was in awe of how breathtakingly green and lush this spot is smack dab in the middle of our city. LOVE IT!
We didn’t take any photos, but it reminded me I had uploaded some videos last week I never posted links to. Here they are:
- The start of my journey, the beginning of the trail
- Fort Green: this part of the path is completely encompassed by trees! It’s like a fort. So cool!
- The babbling brook, such a peaceful sound
I should have taken another video of the incredible view from the tippy top, but I highly recommend you go experience it for yourself! :)

It’s been years since I’ve thought of Glen Park as more than a BART stop. Years ago back when I rock climed I went out with some friends there. Just up from the center of the canyon is a small rock wall we went and played on for the day. Thanks for the nice videos Willo!
yay! you’re welcome – glad you enjoyed em & it brought back some memories. I’ll have to tell my friend lyne about the rock – i saw someone climbing that the first time i went out actually. cool!
